Avicenna Hotel
In the heart of Sultanahmet, the Avicenna occupies a 19th-century Ottoman wooden house converted into a hotel in 1990. Its 48 Ottoman-style rooms are air-conditioned; some have a balcony looking over the Sea of Marmara or the Blue Mosque. The buffet breakfast is served in a lounge lined with Kütahya tiles or in the garden, and the Mekan Avicenna restaurant has panoramic views over the Sea of Marmara.
