Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Arrival in Doğubayazıt — Welcome at the foot of the volcano and an equipment check.
  2. Ishak Pasha Palace — Gentle acclimatisation and a visit to the clifftop palace.
  3. Camp 1 (3,200 m) — Climb to the first camp, a night under canvas.
  4. Camp 2 (4,200 m) — Carry up to the high camp, glacier technique.
  5. Acclimatisation — A day of active rest and reconnaissance.
  6. Summit (5,137 m) — A night start, summit at dawn, a long descent.
  7. Descent & rest — Back to Doğubayazıt and a celebration evening.
  8. Departure — Return transfer.
